EFJCC U14 Boys stayed cool under pressure to hold off a hard chasing Bicton Hurricanes in the Mike Frampton Cup semi-final.

A second great result for the club with now both the U15 girls’ and U14 boys’ sides battling it out this weekend for Grand Final flags!

The boys posted a respectable 9/161 off 33 overs, bowled tightly until drinks and fielded almost without fault, including several outstanding catches in close.  The match appeared to be well under control…….but you know what they say…….’cricket is a funny old game’…….and some hard hitting Bicton batsmen applied the acid late in the innings.

The way the boys kept their cool and finished the match off is truly a credit to them and testament to how they have matured throughout the season.  Outstanding on-field leadership and belief during big moments!  Great work you blokes and best of luck in the Grand Final!  Well, deserved!

A big shout out to our club sponsors who have supported all our members this year.  Both our grand finalists look forward to representing themselves, our club and its supporters & volunteers this weekend.

Fixture details to follow – please come down and support your teams if you are able!

Thanks sponsors and thanks Pia Zoiti (EFJCC Sponsorship Co-ordinator), signs and flags looked great!
